The project Expression presents story-telling photographs of humans in time and space, and of planet Earth.

Featured Project: "The Chameleonic River":
Once, the river Rhine was meandering from the Alps to North Sea in hundreds of curves, side arms and through wild nature. In the 19th century, in order to defeat flooding and Malaria and to allow ships traffic all the way up to Basel, the Upper Rhine region was changed significantly by a Rhine straightening project. The project was successful - with severe side effects on nature and ground water levels. The rate of flow increased dramatically, and Rhine digged itself deep in the ground.
Today, the river Rhine has many different faces. It's a seaway of vital economic importance and simultaneously, in small nature reserves at its shores, even the ancient flood plains and forests are still alive. A chameleonic river.
Part one of the project shows "A Night at River Rhine", photographs taken with Nikon D90 and 85mm lens.
